Flashback Friday is running in its forth week now and I am already absolutely hooked to it. I just love the fact that so many bloggers open their photo albums to share their memories with each other. Looking at old photographs instantly makes me walk down memory lane - even when I am looking at someone else's pictures I start comparing them with own memories. Have I ever been in a similar place? Who was I with? What did we do and what did I feel? It's amazing how many emotions can come up when I am looking at a simple piece of paper or (in this more and more modern world) at a digitalised copy of a photograph.
The most adorable pictures for me are baby pictures and you can be sure, that once our little girl is born, there'll be plenty of them. Back when I was a baby the most common thing to do was sticking your photos into a photo album or a picture frame. Today there are so many other great ways of creating memories that last. You can print canvases, mugs or you can even create calendars. Calendars make great gifts - I know for sure that my nan would be seriously disappointed if she didn't get a calendar with photos of her first great grandchild - and they allow you to share your memories with your near and dear ones.
ido-personalise is a company that offers a modern range of invitations, baby announcements and christening cards plus a lovely range of personalised gifts. To celebrate the launch of their new website ido-personalise are inviting new mums like you to join their baby competition. Simply click on their website for more information and then send in your photos to Facebook. Each month the baby with the most 'likes' will become ido-personalise's baby of the month. What's in it for you? Each winner receives a personalised spiral bound desk calendar featuring 12 different photos of their baby.
But it doesn't end here, if you leave me a comment telling me what your favourite baby photo looks like, you can also win a silver plated 1st curl trinket box that comes beautifully presented in a soft pouch and gift box, engraved with your child's name and date.

Hi,
ReplyDeleteMy favourite baby photo is of Rhys, my eldest son. It was taken when he was days old and still in hospital. He looks so cute clasping his little hands as if he is praying and everyone says he looks like Yoda from Star wars! Bless....he has now just turned 7...

ReplyDeleteMy favourite baby picture is of my youngest when he was first born with the forceps imprinted across the left side of his face (he got his shoulders wedged behind my pelvis). He fought to make his way into the world and those forceps are what saved his little life. It looks horrific but I love it.

My daughter must be about 5-6 months. She's in her cot with colourful toys & cot bumper and a bright blue blanket. She has just woken up, has red cheeks and her gorgeous, thick black hair is curled right up. I love this picture.
